Collaborative & Developmental Editor
With collaboration, you’re the star. You’ll do the work. I’ll walk alongside you to pull out the story, identify the best resources, and do the planning.
Developing a manuscript is like putting together a puzzle: you dump all the pieces on the table; I come in to frame in the edges, tell you what pieces are missing, and identify if any extras don’t belong in the picture. Once we’re done, you’ll have the best structure for your manuscript or article. You’ll have clear main and supporting themes that your target audience needs, all while upping your writing to the next level of excellence—like a beautiful picture worth thousands of words.
Whether your project needs macro or line editing to make your work more clear, more engaging, andmore enjoyable to read, I bring the big picture to your details—and bring the detail to your big picture. I help you get to the point.

Managing Editor
With over 20 years’ experience in magazine and nonfiction publishing, I’ve managed a small staff; multiple contributors; content for multiple resources within the same brand; and teams of writers, editors, photographers, and designers. I set up schedules, make assignments, map content, and think creatively to keep projects in line and on task. Hand off a project to me, and I can run with it or work within your editorial process and with in-house editorial or production teams to turn in a resource on time.

Writing Coach
I listen and investigate. That’s how I connect with authors, experts and high-profile clients from varied backgrounds to understand their message, goals, and values. Then I support and challenge them as they create the best manuscripts and articles possible.
Whether you need a book proposal or a submission-ready manuscript, I will help you create the structure, identify the best story elements, and target your audience, all while educating you on principles of strong writing and story-telling. Together, we’ll balance detail and description with the smoothest flow and most dynamic narrative.

Availability: I take clients by referral. However, if you have a writing project that you are absolutely passionate about and know it needs help to sing, I’d be glad to talk with you. My schedule can often accommodate smaller projects (e.g., articles, coaching, one-round editing) within a month's notice. For larger projects (e.g., book proposals, manuscript development), I can often add them to my schedule within 3–6 months.
Costs: Editorial costs vary based on word count and the type of editing or development needed. I offer per-project rates for editing and book proposals. For coaching, content development or writing, rates run hourly. Let me know what you’re looking for, and I’ll provide an estimate.
